MAYWORKS 2009 : Call for submissions.

Gallery 1 Exhibition: POVERTY IN CANADA.

Exhibition: this will be a juried group show held at the Oceanside Art Gallery in Parksville, Vancouver Island, BC throughout the month of May, 2009. All media are acceptable, with the exception of photography. An artists' fee of $500 will be divided equally among participants.

Submissions: must include 6 slides or a cd of current work (including proposed submission for this exhibition) video if applicable, an artist's statement, exhibition history, and SASE (materials sent without a SASE will not be returned).

Submission Deadline: January 18, 2009.

Gallery 2 Exhibition: MAIL ART

This exhibition will run concurrently in the OCAC Arrowsmith Gallery.

Theme: Revolution, Evolution and Devolution, etc.

Deadline for Submissions: April 15, 2009.

Participation: All submissions exhibited, no returns. Work enters the Mayworks traveling archive. A catalogue wiil be sent to all participants.

Size: no larger than 8.5 x 11 inches/21.5 x 28 cm.

Exhibition: May 1 - 31 at the Arrowsmith Gallery, 133 McMillan St, Parksville BC, Canada. (Other venues possible).
